The Camillus Apostolate of St. Catherine of Siena is charged with the honor of bringing the Eucharist to members of our parish who, because of illness or injury, are unable to attend Mass. New members will become Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (they do not have to serve during Mass), receive a 3-year commission from the Bishop, and then complete a “shadowing” training experience with a member of the Camillus Apostolate. Camillus visits do NOT have to be performed on Sundays.
Additionally, priests offer care, comfort, prayer, and the healing gifts of the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, and Holy Communion. Our parish also works in cooperation with other parishes of the Raleigh/Wake County area who share in the pastoral coverage of the medical facilities in the Wake County/Raleigh area.
