Prayer Shawl volunteers knit, or crochet shawls and lap robes given to those in need of prayerful support and comfort. About 90% of the shawls and hats we create go to the Duke Chemo Unit, a place where prayer and warmth are dearly needed. We welcome all that can knit or crochet at our meeting the third thursday of each month from 10 to 11 AM. We provide 110 shawls each year to a cancer care center and to any members of our community in need.
