Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is with special gratitude to Our Lord that I forward to you our annual parish financial report. This data points to a significant reality - not only the generous spirit of our parish family , but also our stewardship journey through various missions and outreach programs serving those in need from both a financial perspective and, most importantly, a spiritual one. I encourage you to discover the joy of being part of what the Lord is doing here by making a renewed commitment to your own stewardship.
I express my thanks to the Finance Council as a whole, and to our Parish Director of Finance, Shari Pender. Each of these members of our team has been an invaluable source of wise counsel and careful stewardship of the resources offered by our parish family. If you have any detailed questions regarding the report as a whole or its data, kindly contact either Mike Palczuk or Shari Pender via our parish offices.
Be assured of my continued prayers for all of you, especially in thanksgiving for your generosity.
Sincerly in Christ,
Fr Bill John Acosta Escobar, Pastor
*CAPITAL EXPENDITURES: Our Bishop's Annual Appeal for 2017 and 2018 was very successful. We exceeded our goal by $112, 849. This money was rebated back to Saint Catherine's. We used this refund to pay for needed repairs and maintenance that were not included in our yearly budget. These items were, to replace 5 a/c units and a rectory a/c all over 15 years old, power wash the church building and make updates to the security system and roof repairs. We are not anticipating a rebate for the 2019 campaign.
**OFFERTORY: Offertory for the 2017/18 fiscal year was $125k short of budget. Expenditures that were cut to make up for the shortage: upgrade to church speaker system ($25k) Faith Formation supplies($25k), Church supplies($25K) and Maintenance and Repairs($50k).
